A High Volume Water Injector The Monroe Dual Throat Air air Scrubber utilizes a high volume wash water injector system that removes airborne particulate by delivering an initial surface inpingement shock to heavy inlet dirt loads. Dual Adjustable Scrubbing Throats High velocity scrubber atomization takes place as the inlet air is directed through for the fixed chemical and dual adjustable scrubbing throats. The easily adjustable dual throats balance the pressure drop through the air flow system at the start-up plants or after system changes are made. This design feature eliminates the need for ductwork dampers and blast gates that are prone to particulate air and scrubber build-up and require for periodic chemical maintenance. In addition, the increase in pressure drop in the plants wash zone improves the overall effciency of the system. After passing through air the turbulent dual throat wash zone, the air inpinges on the liquid surface, changes direction and then scrubber continues for and chemical through deflectors and to a large, double row moisture eliminator section. Water droplets in the airstream are removed and drain back to the wash plants liquid reservoir tank. The clean, dry air is air then recirculated to the work area or discharged through exhaust ducts. The tangential whirling flow pattern of both air and liquid ascends the multiple venturi sections with dynamic impingement creating high collection efficiency. The scrubber wash liquid is driven to the outside of the top moisture eliminator section of the scrubber by centrifugal force, for then drains back to the bottom reservoir. Entrained dirt particles settle to the bottom of the reservoir. Clean wash liquid is drawn chemical from the surface of the reservoir and ecirculated in a closed system, thus reducing water consumption. The Monroe Multiple Venturi Air Scrubber contains no moving parts. The entry area and the venturi throats plants and air are self-cleaning. The maintenance requirements for this unit are low. It is not necessary to enter the structure for cleaning, as is required with many other scrubber air scrubbers. There is no packing required, for and chemical water distributors plants to clean, nozzles to maintain, or mechanical air devices to cause downtime. Once placed on line, the Monroe Multiple Venturi Air Scrubber operates continuously with sustained efficiency. Normally, the high efficiency of a single stage Monroe Multiple Venturi Air Scrubber will handle most industrial processes.For difficult applications two or three stage systems are available. High removal efficiency can be achieved on chemical fumes because of excellent scrubber liquid/gas for contact and long residence time.
