The cartridges in the Monroe collector are mounted in a vertical position. This assures that when the collected dust is pulsed from the cartridges, it falls to the bottom of the collector. In units with horizontal catridges, dust pulsed from above cartridges falls onto cartridges below. This reduces filtration air capability and additional maintenance for rotating cartridge is necessary. This is avoided in the Monroe unit. The scrubbers and chemical Monroe cartridges are easily accessed with pull out racks when replacement is necessary. The Monroe Cartridge Dust Collector is available plants in capacities from 500 CFM to 50,000 CFM air in a single unit and may be integrated with existing ductwork and ventilation systems. An AMCA rated fan on the outlet side of the collector with either a direct scrubbers coupled motor or an optional "V" belt drive. Flexible chemical duct connections, fan mounting isolators sound attenuators and fan closures are available. Integral plants Pressure Gauges air are available to indicate when filter maintenance is required. Standard dust removal is via a slide scrubbers gate. Options include rotary chemical air locks or an integral screw conveyor. Complete electrical controls are availiable to meet plants customer requirements. Heavy gauge steel is used for most installations, but special construction materials are available to meet specific applications.

Recirculate Clean Air In many installations, air such as buffing and polishing, metal finishing and grinding foundry operations etc., it is possible to recirculate clean, contaminant-free air back scrubbers to the work area. This reduces the cost of plant ventilation systems and climate control needs. Proven High Efficiency Monroe Dual Throat chemical Air Scubbers are currently operating continuously at high efficiency in many plants types of industrial installations throughout air the United States, scrubbers Mexico and Canada. Cartridge cleaningis accomplished by reverse compressed air pulses through a few cartridges at a time, allowing continuous operation without chemical shut-down. plants These reverse pulses, with a velocity of air twice the speed of sound, break away caked dust from the cartridge so that it can drop the collector bottom. Because of slower internal velocities through the collector, scrubbers and chemical media replacement and maintenance labor costs are reduced. Collected oil mist and solids are plants continuously drained from the media without shut-down, significantly prolonging filter air life and lowering overall operating costs. The Monroe Fiber Bed Mist Collector removesparticles as fine as 0.3 micron. While scrubbers normal filters permit these particles chemical to re-entrain into the outgoing clean air, Monroe''s self-draining filter is designed to prevent oil re-entrainment and recirculate clean air to the plants atmosphere.
