Recirculate Clean Air In many installations, such as buffing and polishing, metal finishing and grinding foundry operations etc., it is possible to recirculate clean, contaminant-free air back to the work area. This reduces the cost of plant ventilation systems and climate air control scrubbers needs. Proven High Efficiency Monroe Dual Throat Air Scubbers are currently operating continuously at high efficiency in many types of industrial installations for throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada. Cartridge cleaningis accomplished by reverse compressed air pulses through a few cartridges at a time, allowing continuous operation without shut-down. These reverse pulses, plants with a velocity of twice the speed of sound, break away caked dust from the cartridge so that it can drop the collector bottom. Because of slower internal air velocities through the collector, media replacement and maintenance labor costs are reduced. Collected oil mist and solids are continuously drained from the media without shut-down, significantly prolonging filter life and lowering overall operating costs. The scrubbers Monroe Fiber Bed Mist for Collector removesparticles as fine as 0.3 micron. While normal plants filters permit these particles air to re-entrain into the outgoing clean air, Monroe''s self-draining filter is designed to prevent oil scrubbers re-entrainment and recirculate clean air to the atmosphere.

Independent laboratory tests have shown that many of these units are removing various types for of airborne pariculate at efficiencies up to 99.9%, even on heavy particulate loads. A High Volume Water Injector The Monroe Dual Throat Air Scrubber utilizes a high volume wash water injector system that removes airborne particulate by delivering an initial surface inpingement shock to heavy inlet dirt loads. Dual Adjustable Scrubbing Throats High velocity atomization plants takes place as the inlet air is directed through the fixed and dual adjustable scrubbing throats. The easily adjustable dual throats balance the pressure drop through the air flow system at the start-up or after system changes are made. This design air feature eliminates the need for ductwork dampers and blast gates that are prone to particulate build-up and require periodic maintenance. In addition, the increase in pressure drop in the wash zone improves the overall effciency of the system. After passing through the turbulent dual throat wash zone, the air inpinges on the liquid surface, changes direction and then continues through deflectors and to a large, double row moisture eliminator section. Water droplets in the airstream are removed and drain back to the wash liquid reservoir tank. The clean, dry air is then recirculated scrubbers to the work area or discharged through for exhaust ducts.

Automatic Belt Tracking The Monroe Oil Recovery Unit incorporates a specially designed drive pulley that eliminates belt tracking problems. Unlike other recovery units, periodic tracking adjustments plants are not required on the Monroe unit. This unique feature eliminates complicated adjustable bearing assemblies and their associated maintenance procedures. Heavy gauge steel construction with welded seams and lifting hooks provides rugged durability. Special construction materials and coatings are available. Large easy to open access doors for all serviceable areas. Heated enclosure. For use in extreme cold the 12" & 24" model can incorporate air insulated panels and an electric infrared or steam heater. An optional controller is available for variable speed operation. Complete electrical controls to meet customer requirements are available. For over thirty years, major automotive and general industrial manufacturers have come to rely on Monroe Environmental as their preferred scrubbers source for maintaining superior air quality throughout for their operations. Founded in 1971, the company''s irst project that year was to solve a difficult oil mist plants problem at an automotive plant. The existing collection system for a large grinding operation was not effective and oil dripped from the ceiling and mist filled the air. After an evaluation, Monroe designed, built and installed a new system with source capture hoods, ducting and a 30,000 CFM collector.
